More information Ribada Mencía 2018 (Ribeira Sacra) Red Wine
Ribada Mencia is a young wine made with Mencia grape and with D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
Bodega Ribada's vineyards are in the Chantada subzone (D.O. Ribeira Sacra). The vines are grown on stairs, with slopes reaching 80%. We are in front of vineyards catalogued as "mountain". The work is manual, each task in the vineyard has to be done by hand because mechanization is impossible.
The effort of man and his hands has its reward in the wine. The staircase layout with an orientation that allows us to take advantage of all the hours of sunshine and the proximity of the Miño River offers us a generous and fruity Mencía grape. A grape pampered by the climate, the land, the man and the time.
RIBADA TINTO JOVEN
Normal harvest in boxes. Fermentation at 25ºC malolactic, followed by alcoholic, racking and the wine is kept without further racking until clarified and bottled in March.
