Year 1972. Bodegas LAN is founded and named after the initials of the 3 provinces in the Rioja Designation of Origin: Logroño (now La Rioja), Álava and Navarra. It is located in the heart of Rioja Alta, which is synonymous with tradition and prestige.
The Bodegas LAN ageing room extends over an area of 6.400 square metres. This is a unique setting with a pioneering and completely automated stacking, racking and climate control system. It currently houses a total of 25,000 casks of different types of oak: French, American, Russian and mixed (American oak staves and French oak heads) oak; all carefully selected from the world’s best coopers.

Aged: In American and French oak barrels for at least 12 months, followed by 24 months in bottle.
Serving suggestions: stews, spiced dishes, legumes and cured cheeses.
For third year in a row, LAN has been selected by “Wine Spectator” among the TOP 100 WINES of the world. This time the wine choosed has been Lan Reserva 2004, the wine from Rioja in the higher position of the list.
