Hibiki 21 Years 100th Anniversary is a limited edition centenary of Hibiki to celebrate a hundred years in pursuit of Harmony.
Hibiki 21 Years is a delicate blend of numerous malt and grain whiskies that are meticulously combined to orchestrate a symphony of flavours and aromas.
Hibiki was launched to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Suntory.
Since then, it has been considered the paragon of Japanese whisky. Hibiki is not only the most awarded blended whisky in Japan but one of the most prestigious and distinguished whiskies in the world.
To celebrate the birth of Japanese whisky, the master blender Shinji Fukuyo and his blending team challenged themselves to rethink the Art of Blending for Hibiki.
They were determined to use the legendary Mizunara Japanese oak as a sign of respect for Japanese heritage.
Traditionally, the sherry cask has been the enhancer of Hibiki, granting it its magnificent character.
However, for this blend, Shinji Fukuyo set it aside to age a different kind of Harmony: one led, for the first time, by Mizunara.
The final blend is the result of a quest on how a single detail can shift the entire alchemy, reassessing and rebalancing the harmony.
