More information Havana Club 15 Year Reserve (Cuba) Rum
Havana Club's origins date back to 1878 when José Arechabala, the founder of Havana Club, opened "La Vizcaya" distillery in Cardenas, a city on the Cuban coast.
The name Havana Club was chosen to unify two worlds: the traditional Cuban Habana knowledge and the internationally known Havana nightlife.
Today, these two elements continue to be the heart of the brand identity.
In 1935, The Havana Club bar opened in the Cathedral Plaza, in the heart of Havana. From the 30s to the 50s, Havana Bar cocktails were prepared for the biggest celebrities of the moment, from Mary Pickford to Marlene Dietrich, Jean-Paul Sastre to Ernest Hemingway, and Nat King Cole to Gary Cooper.

In the tumultuous 50s, under the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista, international competition created serious financial problems for the brand.
After the Cuban Revolution, the Cuban government re-launched Havana Club and created its own brand of rum. They created a state run distillery in Santa Cruz, near Havana, where the best Cuban technicians and Rum Masters started to produce Havana Club rum.
Today, Havana Club is the only true International Cuban Rum brand. In Europe and South American it symbolizes the supremacy, the tradition and the passion of Cuban rum.
All Havana Club rums are aged until a determined level is reached during alternating phases of mixing and resting.
Havana Club 15 Year Reserve has been created from the selection of the best rum reserves in Cuba. It is the result of a long ageing process and has characteristics which will delight even the most discerning palates.
