More information Hacienda Monasterio Reserve 2015 Wine
The idea of Hacienda Monasterio arises in 1990, Peter Sisseck arrives in Ribera del Duero to manage the winery and plant the vineyards...
Hacienda Monasterio is an estate between Pesquera and Valbuena de Duero, with 113 hectares of which 68 are vineyards. The winery was built between 1991 and 1992 and was designed by French architect Philippe Mazières, who worked in wineries such as Château Margaux and Château d' Yquem.
The 70 hectares of vineyards on this estate make up a very renowned estate. The Tempranillo grapes have been planted in the calcareous soils, while the poorer and better oriented lands are reserved for Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ageing: 20 months in 60% new Allier and 40% 2 year old barrels
Its persistence is long, and the fruit and toasted notes come back from the barrel.
