More information Finca Collado Syrah+Monastrell 2020 Wine
It is a red wine made with Syrah with a light maceration and stabilization in barrel, and a touch of Monastrell of high extraction with long aging.
This unique combination of varieties and winemaking techniques results in a wine that is frank, lively, intense on the nose and tasty in the mouth. Young strains of Syrah from the Vinalopó valleys on sandy soil with a high density of planting, with support irrigation with water from the subsoil. Old strains of Monastrell in glass of more than 40 years near the Salinas Lagoon. Harvested in September 2014, it was macerated for 5 days at 22ºC. Once the fermentation was finished, the Syrah was kept in tank with its lees until the malolactic fermentation was finished and the Monastrell was aged in barrels for 6 months. After this time, it was blended with the Syrah for 1 month in used barrels and bottled.

Tasting Notes | VISUAL: It has a very attractive color, with a medium intensity and a shade with violet reflections that remain in time. NOSE: On the nose it is fruit, ripe fruit, only Syrah, with a slight hint of fine unroasted coffee and vanilla touches from the light time spent in the barrel . MOUTH: In the mouth, it has a very tasty and at the same time light entrance. With an intense and frank passage through the mouth, it has an end with moderate acidity and where the ripe red fruit mixed with a touch of spice and a little bit of tobacco, provided by the Monastrell, stands out. |
