El Veneno. Monastrell Red Wine from Alto Vinalopó
El Veneno is a Monastrell from Alto Vinalopó, from the El Veneno estate located between Sierra Salinas and Pinoso. This wine exhibits the power and strength of calcareous soils and an extreme Mediterranean climate.
The El Veneno estate is a beautiful plot nestled against the mountain. It owes its name to the nickname of Uncle Veneno, as he was quite serious, grumpy, and tough on his neighbors.
Coming from sandy-loam and calcareous soils, it is a deep wine made with 30% stems. A terroir wine that presents the variety in a fresh and balanced way.
On the palate, it is a very pleasant wine, with plenty of fine and delicate tannins. Its 12-month aging in 12-liter French oak barrels accompanies the wine, providing complexity and elegance.
A wine for aging, with great evolution over time.
