More information Dos Maderas 5+3 3 Liters Rum
This rum is first aged for 5 years in American oak casks at its place of origin in the Caribbean (Guyana and Barbados). Then it is shipped to Williams & Humbert’s installations in Jerez (Spain), where the rum is aged for another 3 years in casks that have previously held the internationally renowned Dos Cortados palo cortado sherry (aged for 20 years, as certified by the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Regulatory Council).

Tasting notes: This two-stage process produces old rum of unique characteristics, with a matchless bouquet and flavour. It is exceptionally smooth.
Suggestions for consumption: Excellent in a balloon glass, either neat or on ice. Superb in elegant mixed drinks and cocktails.
Dos Maderas Rum was awarded the Silver Medal in the “Brussel's 2005 World Concourse of Quality”, in the liqueurs and spirits category.

Tasting Notes | Dividing the aging process into two different stages converts Dos Maderas 5+3 into a very special aged rum which is unique in the world, with a bouquet, flavor and aromas which are hard to compare. Toasted aromas in the mouth, with hints of vanilla and nut. Extremely smooth and elegant on the nose. Serving tips: because it is an aged rum of great quality we recommend you drink it neat or with a few ice-cubes and, for the connoisseur, as the main ingredient in select cocktails. |
