The distilleries Joaquín Alonso were founded in 1944 by Joaquín Alonso Ramal. At the beginning, he distilled anisette and gins, elaborated brandys and different liquors of that time.
Afterwards, the company began to be managed by Joaquín Alonso Navarro, the founder’s son, who extended the range of the products that were being produced, by beginning to elaborate other liquors such as the patxaran, fruit liquors and refreshing drinks without alcohol to adapt the portfolio to the public’s demand.
In 1979, the company moved outside the urban area to its actual location, betting on the facilities modernisation as well as in the machinery update, but maintaining the artisanal elaboration for certain products.
Nowadays, it is the third generation who leads this company, begging on the products innovation and amplifying again the products range in order to satisfy the national market as well as the international market.
