Broker's Gin Limited was created in 1998 by two English brothers who saw an opportunity for a new premium brand, combining seriously good gin with an element of English humour.
Martin Dawson / Co-founder & Managing Director
Perhaps it was a lifetime of travelling the world and the exposure to new ideas that inspired Martin Dawson to try something different. Or maybe it was his 20 years of experience in the spirit's industry, working with such notable companies as Glaxo Smithkline and Allied Domecq.
Whatever the case, Martin, and his brother Andy saw an opportunity in the market for a high quality, true London Dry Gin and decided to take the plunge. With the goal of developing a gin with a strong link to London and that could be easily enjoyed by people around the world, Broker's London Dry Gin was created.
Martin's vast industry experience and knowledge has served Broker's well. Responsible for product design, international sales and marketing, Martin has helped foster Broker's approachable, fun-loving personality and a quirky sense of humour that tips its hat quite literally to its London heritage.

Andy Dawson / Co-founder & Director
Andy Dawson's talent lies in taking creative ideas and making them a reality. His experience working as a senior executive in the oil industry is a major benefit for Broker's when it comes to operations and implementation.
As the financial wizard of Broker's Gin Limited, Andy oversees the financial management and strategic planning for the company, as well as devoting considerable time to the business in North America. However, the two brothers work closely together as a team on all aspects of the business, from product development to strategic planning and management.
Andy's "left-brain" working style is a perfect balance to Martin's creative side. The two have shared a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, which has helped foster their entrepreneurial and creative spirit.

The distillery where Broker's Gin is made is located near Birmingham, England and is over 200 years old. There had previously been a brewery on the site, but this was converted to a distillery at a time when gin-making became more profitable than beer-making.

The distillery uses only traditional pot stills. Continuous distillation using column stills is more efficient and is used by the major brands, but pot stills are better for extracting maximum flavour from the botanicals in a traditional hand-crafted fashion.
