More information Bols Creme de Cassis Liquor
Lucas Bols BV is the oldest Dutch company still active, and the oldest distillery brand in the world. Since April 2006 it is back in Dutch hands thanks to a buy-out by the management and investor AAC Capital Partners. Lucas Bols has returned to the city where it all began in 1575: Amsterdam. Bols has mastered the art of mixing and blending; with old recipes and new flavors. Liqueur, genever, Corenwijn and gin. Both pure or as part of an exciting range of cocktails.
Bols liqueurs are significantly better than those of the competition in many respects. This commercial message has now been established as fact in a study by CSO, the well-known international institute for taste and aroma research. A 24-member team of neutral panellists recently reached the conclusion (with staggering - but pleasant for Bols! - certainty) that Bols liqueurs are far ahead of the competition.
The taste and aroma test conducted by the panel focused on the ten most important flavours of Bols and its competitors. In the blind test, Bols products scored particularly well as far as natural and full-bodied aroma are concerned, and where a full-bodied and soft flavour are involved. Bols liqueurs were judged as significantly better than the other brands over the whole line. CSO also conducted qualitative research. Fourteen international bartenders shared their views with the interviewers as to quality and applicability. The bartenders said, among other things, that they preferred Bols for its "real", fruity flavour, the excellent aroma and the proper density of the liqueurs. According to the bartenders, professionals always need new products with fruity flavours and strong, clear colours.

Bols Crème de Cassis is an authentic dark red blackcurrant liqueur made using an infusion of blackcurrants grown near Dijon, the main town in Burgundy, France, where the product was invented. Bols Crème de Cassis frequently serves as a general forest fruit liqueur for bars that do not have strawberry, raspberry or blackberry liqueurs. In Japan, Crème de Cassis & soda is one of the most frequently requested longdrinks in bars and clubs. Bols Crème de Cassis works especially well in drinks containing sour elements (such as lemon or lime juice) and is a superb addition to drinks containing forest fruit purees such as strawberry or raspberry. Most widely used as a mix with white wine, champagne or dry vermouth.
