More information Barceló Gran Añejo 1 Liter (Dominican Republic) Rum
In 1929, a young man named Julian Barceló arrived at the island from his native Mallorca, Spain, to pursue a dream. He knew the Caribbean sun and its thick, juicy sugar cane were essential to producing what would become one of the world’s greatest rums.
Those were exciting times, filled with promise, great risks and an even greater sense of adventure. By the early 1930s, Julian had painted a logo with his family name on an old model Ford and set out on his personal journey of discovery along dusty dirt roads to explore the small towns of the interior and sell his rum, creating a network of customers that came to appreciate the quality of his products. Over time, his dream became a reality and his name a household word.
In later years, under the leadership of Julian’s nephew, Miguel Barceló, the company expanded and eventually reached far beyond all expectations, diversifying and including new products, modernizing the distillery, augmenting the size of the production plant and the cellars.
Today, a new generation of men nurtured in the family business and headed by Jose Antonio Miguel Barceló, President of Barceló & Company since 1998, brings the world new and delicious rum products that raise the international standard for quality aged rum.

Barceló Gran Añejo is an attractive rum with a vivid gold colour and pleasant aroma. The flavour is refined, with traces of candied fruits, caramels, currants, and spices like vanilla. Delicious, smooth taste, with a warm touch, and some liquor with mellow nuances.
