Bahia de Denia, without doubt our best white wine, made 100 % with selectionally Muscat grapes. It is a delicate, highly aromatic, fresh and very expressive wine.
Our distinguised an cared for production is obtained thanks to blending the experience of craftmanship, treasured for centuaries, and the most advanced modern tecnology. This is what makes the “Virgen Pobre “ Valencian Cooperative Society an emblematic wine producer,well known throughout the region for its top quality wines and liquors (white and red “Mistelas” and Vermouths).
The building itself was constructed in the early sixties and is known locally as the “Bodega” of Jalon. Its original purpose was for storing the equipment that belonged to the first members of the society; presses, wine deposits, wooden oak barrils etc. It was the place where they combined their wisdom and know how as well as their most cared for old wines called “Fondellol”.
As the years have passed the “Bodega” has adapted to new tecnology and from those first wines and “Mistelas” (sweet liquors), which were sold exclusively in bulk,we have passed to the bottling of top quality wines, which you will be able to sample in our establishment.

Appearance: Bright, clean, pale straw colour with a slightly green edge.Nose: Slightly exotic, stylish and very expressive. High aromatic intensity. The aroma feature citrus, tree and stone fruits like apricot, peach and exotic spices, and also white flowers such as jasmine, lemon blossom and as well as the hint of rose petals. These are typical aromas of Muscat variety mixed with fresh grape. In a swirled glass the floral and citrus aromas are intensified. In summary, an elegant, floral and very fruity wine.Palate: Silky palate, full body, pleasant, with a slight point of sweetness on the tip of the tongue, contributing to its volume in the mouth. Fruity with powerful floral bouquet and great persistence.
