+Historically, Rueda has been one of the most outstanding centres for vine growing since the 18th century. Bodegas Aura bears good witness to this tradition by expressing the autochthonous variety of the region in its Aura Verdejo wine.
Exclusively devoted to making a white wine, recognised by writers as being one of the most expressive among Ruedas , its distinct style is highlighted by its careful presentation. .
Situated in the town of Rueda, near Tordesillas. The Velasco family, with a long tradition of growing and making wine in these vineyards and terroirs going back several generations, have played an important role in the development of the area..
A total area of 60,4 hectares of our own vineyards split between 52,4 of Verdejo grapes, the indigenous variety of the area, and 8 of Sauvignon Blanc. Lots of rounded stones on the surface and gritty soil, with a small amount of organic matter, good aeration and drainage. The composition of the soils varies from gritty silt to silt.

"With Aura we have achieved a sublime white, with incredible elegance and a full-bodied palate. The indigenous Verdejo variety, one of the few to have escaped the great homogenisation of varieties, is what gives this wine all its personality. In it you can find the intensely varietal aromas of fine herbs. Full and long finish."
