More information Amaretto Di Angela 1 Liter Liquor
Amaretto Di Angela is a delicious liqueur that combines the sweetness of apricots with the bitterness of almonds.
Amaretto has its origin in Saronno, a small town near Milan, Italy; hence it is known as Amaretto di Saronno. Legend has it that in 1525 the painter Bernardino Luini, a disciple of Leonardo da Vinci, was commissioned to paint a fresco of the Madonna in Saronno. To help him, Bernardino Luini was assisted by the daughter of an innkeeper who served as his model. It seems that after a few months the young woman fell in love with the painter and as a token of her love and gratitude to him, she prepared a drink for him with natural products she had in her garden. This proof of love was offered to Bernardino who took this drink out of Saronno and made it known all over Italy.
Hence the fact that Amaretto is known as one of the most aphrodisiacal liqueurs. The recipe was passed down from generation to generation until almost three centuries later, in 1817, it was marketed by Amaretto di Saronno Originale Licor. Since then, the recipe has remained unchanged, making Amaretto an original flavourful liqueur.
Amaretto Di Angela is a sweet liqueur with a slight touch of bitterness, made with natural ingredients of the highest quality such as the essence of 17 herbs and fruits that accompany its main ingredient, almonds and apricots.
