Bodegas Juan Alcorta named in honour of their founder, Juan Alcorta, and situated on the old road to Fuenmayor (Logroño).
A bodega exclusively dedicated to making crianza, reserva and gran reserva oak-aged wines, whose vineyards are arranged in plots so that the grapes can be selected and cultivated depending on the type of wine sought. For cask-ageing we use mainly American oak with some French oak too, in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for ageing wine.
The majority of our vines are of the Tempranillo variety, and over 25 years old.
Two years’ ageing in new and semi-new French- and American-oak casks and one in the bottle allows us to make a fruitier wine with deep colour and good structure.
