Black Death vodka is made by the Icelandic Sigudsson family. With a history dating back to 1906, the brand has undergone numerous changes, including moving its Icelandic headquarters to the United Kingdom and years later to Belgium. The brand went on to win the 1987 Gold Medal for quality at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
Black Death Vodka has achieved what few other brands have, its skull and top hat logo is an iconic image. This image led to Guns & Roses guitarist Slash wearing T-shirts with the logo, which raised the brand to worldwide fame in the 1990s, and it has been revived with brands such as Stolichnaya and Absolut.
The image has also been incorporated into films such as WaterWolrd, Kill Bill 2, etc.
