Bodegas Balbás dates back to 1777, making today more than 200 years of a tradition of four generations dedicated to the deep-rooted passion of making one of the greatest wines of Ribera del Duero.

More than 20 years has passed by since Bodegas Balbás, together with a small bunch of wine cellars, created and established what we today know as the Guarantee of Origin Ribera del Duero

From then they have tried and managed to combine, more than 200 years with the most modern and technologically advanced elaboration process, that make their wines show, in it's highest peak, the most caracteristic type of the greatest wines of this Guarantee of Origin.

Winemaking: Aging during  12 months in oak barrels (75% American y 25% French), followed by 12 months in bottle.

Variedad: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Visual Stage: Intense and deep ruby colour with hues of black cherry.
Aroma Stage: On the nose, there are a variety of aromas wrapped up with vanilla touches characteristic of ageing in casks. Intense bouquet noticing spicy aromas. Complex and suggestive with great power.
Flavour Stage: Stands out its fresh and velvety palate esteeming the wine complexy and roundness. The wine it's dry and severe, noble, and calmly reveals all the flavour range: Tobacco and vanilla with ripped fruit. Lon in mouth with a retronasal passage its impeccable and silky.
