Bodegas Juan Alcorta named in honour of their founder, Juan Alcorta, and situated on the old road to Fuenmayor (Logroño).
A bodega exclusively dedicated to making crianza, reserva and gran reserva oak-aged wines, whose vineyards are arranged in plots so that the grapes can be selected and cultivated depending on the type of wine sought. For cask-ageing we use mainly American oak with some French oak too, in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for ageing wine.
The majority of our vines are of the Tempranillo variety, and over 25 years old.
Alcorta Crianza 2005
With this new wine, Alcorta seeks to respond to the new fashion in modern Riojas by producing a more aromatic wine with better sensations in the mouth, capable of surprising even the most discerning palates.
Brilliant cherry red colour, varietal aromas of red berries and spices. Smooth, good body, soft tannins and a long finish.
